Student Success Alliance is a local non-profit organization with a proven track record of keeping students in school and on the path to graduation. We work hand-in-hand with Walton County Public Schools and Social Circle City Schools to connect community resources to families and kids based on the school-wide needs and drop-out risk factors at assessed at each site.
We believe that every child needs and deserves:
The support of a caring adult
Basic resources to succeed in school
A plan for the future and a path to achieve it
An opportunity to engage and reinvest in community
Alumni making a difference
GCAPP’s Communication & Development Intern, Senquaesha Parks, is a recent Georgia State University graduate and a hometown success. She is one of the new faces featured in just released commercials for Student Success Alliance. SSA provides basic needs, life skills, and moral support to youth for a healthier future.
“It is truly an honor to be featured as a Walton County success, nevertheless this is just a beginning!” says Parks.
Senquaesha Parks works at GCAPP helping young people find some of the same important services and resources she needed and used growing up. Parks is an active volunteer in her hometown of Monroe. She volunteers with the FISH4Kids Summer Feeding Program. She packages and delivers lunches to numerous neighborhood children who may otherwise go without. At GCAPP, she is working across departments to plan “Wake Up Walton” a community breakfast brainstorm to share GCAPP’s work and resources with the community that has given her so much and prepared her a healthy adulthood.
